free admission) places to visit. Washington
D.C. isn't as trendy as New York or Los Angeles, but its museums
and historical attractions are the best in the country and is a must
visit for any US citizen. Go!

Attractions The
White House: Located at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., John Adams was the first
President to live here, moving in in 1800. The Visitors Center has photographs,
artifacts, etc. Tickets for tours are limited.
Korean
War Veterans Memorial: Statue group of 19 soldiers patrolling through
Korean terrain. 164 foot long granite wall etched with faces of service
men and women.
Lincoln
Memorial: Massive marble statue of a seated Abe facing the Reflecting
Pool (where Martin Luther King gave his "I Have a Dream" speech.)
Vietnam
Memorial: Black granite wall with the names of 58,000+ American soldiers
etched in it to commemorate their deaths. Many visitors still leave
military medals, pictures, flowers and momentos along the wall.
Washington
Monument: White 555 foot tall monument. Elevator rides are available
to the top were awesome views can be seen. The best time to go is at
night when the line is short. The views during the summer nights are
the best.

It definitely was seeing the Korean War Memorial. As a 2nd generation
Korean-American this monument touched me and seeing the large number
of Korean casualties during the war really effected me. The statues
of the soldiers walking was amazing. I spent about 25 minutes looking
